स्पर्धा परीक्षेची तयारी करणाऱ्या आदिवासी युवकाची नक्षल्यांनी गुरुवारी रात्रीच्या सुमारास गोळ्या झाडून हत्या केली. साईनाथ नरोटे (26) असे मृत युवकाचे नाव असून तो भामरागड तालुक्यातील मर्दहुर या नक्षलग्रस्त गावातील रहिवासी होता. मर्दिनटोला चकमकीनंतर नक्षल चळवळ खिळखिळी झाली होती. मात्र, काही महिन्यांपासून दक्षिण गडचिरोली भागात पुन्हा एकदा नक्षलवादी सक्रिय झाले असून त्यांनी पोलीस खबऱ्या असल्याच्या संशयावरून साईनाथची हत्या केली.
होळीनिमित्त साईनाथ आपल्या गावी आला होता. गुरुवारी रात्रीच्या सुमारास काही सशस्त्र नक्षल्यांनी गावात येऊन साईनाथची गोळ्या झाडून हत्या केली. साईनाथ हा उच्चशिक्षित असून गडचिरोली येथे स्पर्धा परीक्षेची तयारी करीत होता. अधिकारी बनण्याचे स्वप्न अधुरे साईनाथ हा अभ्यासात हुशार होता. काही काळ गावात तयारी केल्यानंतर तो स्पर्धा परीक्षेचा अभ्यास करण्यासाठी गडचिरोलीत आला. स्पर्धा परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण करून अधिकारी बनण्याचे त्याचे स्वप्न होते. मात्र, नक्षल्यांनी त्याची पोलिसांचा खबऱ्या असल्याच्या संशयावरून हत्या केली.
A tribal youth who was preparing for the competitive examination was shot dead by Naxalites around Thursday night. Sainath had come to his village on the occasion of Holi. Around Thursday night, some armed Naxalites came to the village and shot and killed Sainath.
